Fortunately, there are more and more organic products available for gardeners around the house. Felmerül a kérdés, hogy mi alapján válasszunk? 🤔 Here are some pointers to help you choose the best one for you!
Humus products

- It is worth checking what the active ingredient is in the product. If it is not listed, it may be suspect. The best quality hummus products are made from Leonardite. Leonardite is formed from the charring of plants that died 10 million years ago and is ground into particles smaller than 10 microns. A Blackjak100% is made of Leonardite.
- Also important is the pH of the humus product, whether it is acidic, alkaline or neutral. According to the literature, the best results are expected from products with an acidic pH, because it is better for the plants, the nutrients can be better absorbed in this range and it is even better to mix with other products. Blackjak has a pH below 6, which ensures optimal effect!
Algae products

- It is worth checking the concentration of algae in the product. If it is close to 20%, we are talking about a product with a high active ingredient. Be careful not to be misled by the term algae concentrate, as it is not the same as algae content. From Asco Alga the active ingredient content of the product is so high that it has a creamy consistency, but is still 100% water soluble.
- It also matters which type of algae is contained in the product. If you buy a product made from Ascophyllum nodosum algae, it is more likely to promote intensive growth and development. And Ecklonia maxima supports rooting and flowering in particular.
- It is better to buy a pure algae product free of additional additives, as it is more likely to be organic and not to reduce the active ingredient content of the product with cheaper nutrients.
Products with chitosan active ingredients

- An important measure of chitosan products is the extent to which the chitin used as a raw material has been "cut" into smaller pieces of chitosan. The measure of this is the Dalton. The higher this number, the smaller the chitosan particles and the more efficiently it is absorbed by the plant. A SoftGuard Dalton number 3,000.
- It is preferable to choose a product with an acidic pH, i.e. below 6, for better compatibility with other products.
Products containing micro-organisms

- Diversity of mycorrhizal species: there are nearly 200 strains of mycorrhizal fungi, each of which has a different soil effect. Thus, if a product contains, for example, 6 different strains of mycorrhizae - as in the case of MikoMax Garden-then it has six times better adaptive capacity than single-stem products.
- An important measure is the amount of propagules per cm3 of product. This is 20 in the oldest mycorrhizal product marketed since MikoMax Garden in product 500. That is, the MikoMax Garden mycorrhiza product has 25 times more active ingredient!
Products containing Trichoderma

- Habitat of origin of Trichoderma strain: it is important whether the Trichoderma strains in the product live and reproduce in soil or in plants. A Tricho Immun product contains two strains of Trichoderma isolated from Tokaj grapes, which means that they are native to the plant, so they have a longer duration of beneficial effects and are well tolerated by the local weather conditions. They can be applied directly to the plant. Soil-dwelling Trichoderms, on the other hand, are best used in soil.
- Germ count: the amount of germ in the product can also be used as a basis for comparison. The higher, the more effective!
Organic foliar fertilizers

- More than 90% of the foliar fertilisers on the market are not organic but are made from chemical ingredients. Very few of them contain organic ingredients such as plant amino acids, fish bone or molasses.
- The highest nutrient that plants need to be replenished is nitrogen. A DanuVital Bio-The 40 g/l nitrogen content is one of - if not the - highest on the market.
- Total active ingredient content: It is advisable to look at the label of foliar fertilizers and do not buy products with a total active ingredient content of less than 100 g/l (i.e., N+K+P+ meso and microelements) because you are largely only paying for the water and the bottle.
+ 1 TIP: It is also worth checking the manufacturer/distributor for the detailed information they provide on their products, and to look for individual products in the NÉBIH authorisation register, which is available to anyone.
