According to folklore, March 25 is the day of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Catholic Church celebrates the conception of Jesus on this day. It is believed that the grafting done on this day will not only be taken, but will be blessed and will produce abundantly in the future.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The aim of grafting is to make fruitless or worthless fruit trees productive by grafting a noble variety onto them.<\/strong> Let's take the genetics of our favourite old doughnut further.\u00a0<\/strong>At higher levels, to take advantage of the positive interaction between subjects and nobles (greater vitality and growth vigour or even dwarfism).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To be able to vaccinate, we must first collect vaccines. This can be done until the buds do not crack.<\/strong> Store the winter harvested extinguishers in damp sand in a frost-free place, in a cellar, pantry or even in the bottom of your fridge until needed. For cutting, it has to be very sharp to make an accurate and smooth incision. But, if there is no alternative, a wallpaper knife will do. It is important to always work with one cut. More recently, different types of scissors have become more common, which are easier and safer to use and require no practice. You should also get some grafting tape to secure the graft firmly and seal the wound airtight. Another big advantage is that they are relatively flexible, they don't grow into the wood and can be removed after a year. The wound on top of the already finished graft should be lubricated with grafting wax or wound dressing to prevent it from drying out.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The best way to get the best results is to have a subject as closely related to your noble as possible. So apple to apple, pear to pear and so on. The most common pairings in practice are:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Apricot and plum varieties are most often grafted on mirabolan.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Peaches and almonds are good subjects for themselves and for each other.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The cherry is the wild cherry, the sour cherry is the cheese cherry.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Pears, quince and also naspolya can be grafted onto quince.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The rootstock of the apple is the wild apple, or apple crabapple, and in cultivation the 'Malling' rootstocks are used.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Vaccines can be basically divided into two groups<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    The first group includes all those where two one-year parts are combined.\u00a0<\/strong>This can be done by simply superimposing the two intersecting sheets, a more technical but more stable method of grafting.     It is often the case that you want to graft an existing, older tree or one of its crown elements<\/strong>, because it does not grow well, but we regret to cut it down. This is when goat's foot grafting comes into play, or, if our subject is already sufficiently established and its skin easily separates from the husk, under-skin grafting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
