Last week, we participated in a unique horticultural workshop in P\u00e9cs-Hird, implemented by the Community Budget Programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Have you heard about this forward-looking initiative?<\/strong>? Here is the Community budget<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udc9a Decide with us!<\/em> Community budgeting is all about allowing residents to propose improvements to their own environment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ideas received will be assessed on a technical basis, aggregated if necessary, and the Participation Council will select 5 proposals per zone to go to the voting stage. In the end, the project that receives the most votes in each zone of P\u00e9cs will be the one that will be implemented, giving the community a real say in the development of the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Green themes <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For us, it was a great pleasure to see that horticultural issues are so strongly embedded in local thinking. It's good to see that more and more people in the city are consciously engaged in beautifying and making the environment more sustainable - and that the Community budget provides an excellent platform for this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Decide with us! The winning idea in Zone X of the year 2024 was the Horticulture Workshop Hirden, which was open to the public for a whole weekend. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two-day horticultural programme provided a comprehensive overview of modern, sustainable gardening options, from ornamental trees to permaculture and soil life enhancement. Experts presented practical solutions ranging from water and soil management to composting, perennial plants, pollinator-friendly surfaces and tree care. The varied topics and speakers gave a good sense of the many different paths that can lead to a healthier, more livable and more consciously tended garden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
