That's why we regularly attend professional training courses where we learn first-hand about the latest technologies, research and the science behind our products. Most recently, Ingo Rogge at the Kelpak<\/a> European Regional Manager, gave us the opportunity to get a more detailed insight into the history of this biostimulant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Experienced manufacturer<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Founded in 1978 Kelpak<\/a> with nearly 50 years of experience, is now a global market leader in seaweed products. At the heart of their philosophy is Ecklonia maxima algae, freshly harvested from its natural habitat, ethically harvested and their unique Cellburst production technology. As a result, this ground-breaking biostimulant is able to offer gardeners and farmers unrivalled help to improve their yields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The raw material<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udc9a Kelpak<\/a> is based on the alga Ecklonia maxima, which lives in the deep ocean off the South African Atlantic coast. Harvesting is carried out with the utmost care, using only manual labour. To preserve the ecosystem, only the leaves are cut, in a fixed quantity to guarantee regeneration and only every 24 months is the same area returned to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order for these algae to get the light they need for photosynthesis, they need to grow towards the surface. This vigorous growth can then be guaranteed by the hormones and compounds present in large quantities in Ecklonia maxima: auxins, polyamines, florotannins, cytokinins, brassinosteroids, organic acids, alginates, nutrients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
