Is humus the gold of the earth? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udc9a Blackjak<\/a> leonardite is named after Professor Leonard, who researched the subject. Leonardite is the lignification (mineralisation) of plant remains that have decomposed over millions of years, in effect a highly oxidised lignite that is mined in many places around the world. The product is named after two of Sofbey's executives (Mr Black and Mr Jak), which is a fitting reference to its blackness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although there are several types of liquid hops (e.g. peat or Hungarian leonardite) available on the market, the production process is completely unique, in addition to the origin of the raw material. At present, only the Blackjak<\/a> is made without chemical intervention, using only physical grinding. The production process preserves the original, slightly acidic pH of around 5. Furthermore, as no chemical solvent extraction is used, all the original components of the hops (not only the soluble ones): humic, ulmic, fulvic and humic acids are retained. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The effects listed above can be supported by a number of experimental results, three of which we would like to highlight here<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

1\ufe0f\u20e3 In the first Blackjak<\/a> on rooting (root length and root tip length) in sugar beet. After 24, 48 and 72 hours after treatment, the effects of untreated control and different doses of Blackjak were investigated. The figure clearly shows that in all three cases, Blackjak with white columns produced more and longer root pieces. It is also observed that the difference increases with time compared to the control. It is also noteworthy that the difference was significant in all cases, i.e. significantly detectable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2\ufe0f\u20e3 The second experiment tested drought tolerance on grass on a golf course. After 10 days without irrigation and precipitation, the untreated control showed 33 % tissue deaths, yellowing-browning. In the case of the tested competitor, which is not available in Hungary, 24 % at 2 l\/ha Blackjak<\/a> 40 % less tissue necrosis was observed. This means that the \"sponge effect\" is well established, i.e. by using liquid humus, water and nutrients can be kept in the root zone by increasing the humus content. Of all the soil constituents, humus is the only one that can bind on its surface the positive and negative nutrients that are essential for its functioning. Blackjak has also been found to make lawns longer and greener.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
