What exactly is chitosan, the active ingredient in SoftGuard? Chitosan is produced from chitin \u2013 primarily from the chitinous exoskeletons of mussels and crabs. Chitin is the second most abundant organic molecule on Earth after cellulose. Cellulose forms the basic structure of plants, whilst chitin forms that of bacteria, fungi and insects. What is SoftGuard good for?<\/b><\/p>\n

  1. Strengthens the plant's immune system, making it easier to fight off pathogens<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Accelerates the healing of wounds<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Enhances colouration<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Also a source of nutrients for the plant (complex sugars), thus increasing its yield<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Bactericidal, fungicidal, insecticidal, insect repellent<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Furthermore, it not only strengthens the plant's immune system, but rather activates it. Because only some of the genes stored in the DNA work as needed. The majority of the defence genes are inactive when there is no trouble.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    How to apply?<\/strong><\/p>\n

    The product should be diluted to a concentration of 1-2%; in other words, 1-2 dl of SoftGuard is required per 10 litres of spray solution. It is advisable to repeat the treatment every 2\u20133 weeks. The pre-mixed 0.5-litre spray bottle is easy to use for protecting houseplants.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
