About Leili in brief
Leili was founded in 1993 by a new generation of marine biology companies. With its proprietary technologies, it is a pioneer and a leader in marine biostimulants in China.
VIDEO: SoftGuard main active substance is chitosan, a naturally occurring linear polysaccharide made up of sugars. Chitosan is produced from chitin, which is produced in large quantities as a by-product of fishing, e.g. during the processing of crustaceans.

What is SoftGuard good for?
- Strengthens the plant's immune system, making it easier to fight off pathogens
- Accelerates the healing of wounds
- Enhances colouration
- Also a source of nutrients for the plant (complex sugars), thus increasing its yield
- Bactericidal, fungicidal, insecticidal, insect repellent
- Furthermore, it not only strengthens the plant's immune system, but rather activates it. Because only some of the genes stored in the DNA work as needed. The majority of the defence genes are inactive when there is no trouble.

How does it help?
In Yinan, China, the late spring low temperatures caused damage to sprouted cucumbers, used to SoftGuardot mixed with seaweed. 3 days after treatment, new roots had grown. Normal growth was restored after 1 week, followed by normal yield after 2 weeks.

Fungal or insect attack mimicking SoftGuard the plant triggers its own defence mechanism. It can be thought of as a vaccination in terms of its effect. We use it to activate the plants' own defence mechanism. As soon as the plant detects this compound, it produces a chitinase enzyme to break down the chitin.
This enables the plant to fight fungi and pests with softer outer cover (aphids, mites, thrips).
