Blackjak

Stock information: Blackjak 5L - expected delivery from 5 May

Dose: 2 dl/10 litre of spray

How does Blackjack with hops help?

  1. Humic substances in blackjack improves soil quality
  2. Helps the roots of the plant to absorb more water and nutrients
  3. The advantage of Blackjak over other similar products is that it is not dissolved with an alkaline substance such as sodium/potassium hydroxide to make it water soluble, but is shredded to a fine size of about 4 microns in a shredding roller with diamond hardness knives

Leonardite is similar to brown and black coal. It is also mined in a similar way. Good quality Leonardite is found in the USA, Canada and Australia. But, just as the Earth's supply of coal is finite, so is the supply of Leonardite.

How to apply?

The product should be applied at a concentration of 1-2%, i.e. 1-2 dl of Blackjak is required in 10 L of spray. The treatment should be repeated every 2-3 weeks. If Blackjak is applied to leaves, it is likely to form small black spots which will later disappear. If you want to improve your degraded soil, you should apply a higher dose, up to 1 litre per 10 m2 of soil.

Why should I choose this product?

  1. It is worth checking what the active ingredient is in the product. If it is not listed, it may be suspect. The best quality humic substance products are made from Leonardite. Leonardite is formed from the charring of plants that died 10 million years ago and is ground into particles smaller than 10 microns. A Blackjak 100% is made of Leonardite.
  2. Also important is the product's pH, whether it is acidic, alkaline, or neutral. According to the literature, the best results are expected from products with an acidic pH because it is better for the plants, the nutrients can be better absorbed in this range, and it is even better to mix with other products. Blackjak has a pH below 6, which ensures optimal effect!

Our product will have a minimal additional effect when applied to good quality soil, if you are not sure if you need to use Blackjak ask our horticultural experts.

Storage of the product

Between 5 and 30 degrees Celsius in its original packaging, the product will keep its expiry date for at least 36 months. It should be applied as soon as possible after opening but stored tightly resealed and refrigerated for up to 6 months without deterioration.

Detailed description

By bringing the humus in Blackjak to the roots of your plants, it can significantly increase water and nutrient uptake and improve soil quality. Applied Blackjak can provide the ideal soil conditions for the roots of the crop in its environment, even if the soil is otherwise poorly supplied with organic matter, nutrients or has a poor pH! So its use in poor soils is almost obligatory!

Blackjack can also be used to treat foliage and soil at a dose of 1-2 dl/10 litres of water. The product has a black colour that disappears from foliage in a few days, but care should be taken when treating it on pavement or white walls as it can cause discolouration. The product must be shaken before use as it will settle on the walls and bottom of the bottle. For this very reason, it is a good idea to rinse the watering can or sprayer several times to ensure that not a drop of product is wasted.

It contains at least 28% of organic matter, of which at least 20% are natural humic substances (humic, fulvic, ulmic acids and humic substances).

Blackjak is the only product on the market with a pH between the optimal 4-5, which makes it much more effective than other products using sodium/potassium hydroxide (alkaline) extractants.

Blackjak is a strong black colour, very soluble in water, but the bottle should always be shaken thoroughly and rinsed several times before use because it is a suspension (solid particles suspended in liquid).

By adding humic substances to the soil in Blackjak, water and nutrient uptake can be significantly increased, and soil quality improved. Applied Blackjak can provide the ideal soil conditions for the plant root in its environment, even if the soil is otherwise poorly supplied with organic matter and nutrients or has a less-than-ideal pH!

The benefits of Blackjak released on the canopy are:

  • the small molecules of fulvic acid contained in it easily penetrate the leaf. In fact, if other substances are added, such as foliar fertiliser or an absorbable pesticide, they will be absorbed more quickly
  • when applied on the Blackjak canopy, it increases the plant's uptake of nutrients. As this increases the concentration of nutrients in the plant, it has a sucking effect on the water in the soil. This triggers a nutrient and water pump from the soil and into the plant! This in turn results in a larger plant mass
  • the result of this water pump effect is more intense evaporation, which cools the plant! This cooling of a few degrees results in the plant continuing to photosynthesize and build up its biomass

Almost all commercially available humic acid products have a pH above 7. Humic acids are, as the name suggests, effective in the mildly acidic range. Blackjack has a pH of between 4 and 5, which is ideal for its utilisation and is also perfect when applied to the plant's canopy in conjunction with pesticides. The best quality humus is named after the American geologist researcher Professor A. G. Leonard. These Leonardite materials were formed over 10 million years ago and are mined in very few places worldwide for their high quality. All Danuba's humic substance-containing products are Leonardite-based!

The best-quality organic matter in soil is one rich in humic substances, which act as a sponge to bind nutrients and water and provide habitat and food for beneficial soil bacteria and fungi. The best-quality humic substance is named after its researcher, Professor Leonard. These Leonardite materials were formed over 10 million years ago and are mined in very few places in the world.

Blackjack and the nutrients

According to the University of Padua, Blackjack can increase the uptake of all nutrients.

My little garden tried some of our products:

DanuVital Bio+ foliar fertiliser, Asco Alga foliar fertiliser and Blackjack Leonardite-based soil quality enhancer. The household dose of these products is 2dl/10l.

VIDEO: From the writer of the Gardener's Garden in Pilisszentkereszten blog Miklós Szomoru: "I have a good half-hour video for you. But it's worth watching! It's about soil life, algae, mycorrhizal fungi, and eco-plant protection. We use these materials instead of chemicals and fertilisers. With organic products, we can only further improve and accelerate the balance."
