Kelpak
Dose: 2 dl/10 litre of spray
Why choose Kelpak?
Danuba also offers two seaweed biostimulants for farmers. As the plant grows, the proportion of plant hormones needed for growth changes. During rooting and initial growth, auxin is required, so Kelpak should be chosen.
Kelpak is predominantly auxin, which supports rooting and flowering. Of course, it's okay to use it during intensive growth, because you can start your lunch with dessert, for example. 😁
Quality algae products work in the following ways:
- The nutrients they contain - mainly meso and micro-nutrients - can be absorbed immediately by the plant. This helps to reduce nutrient deficiencies
Betaine in algae products reduces abiotic stress effects such as frost damage - The lipids and polysaccharides in premium algae products provide energy for the plant
Danuba has registered two quality algae products in Hungary. A Kelpak rooting and flowering, while the Asco Alga can enhance intensive growth
How to apply?
For root irrigation use a solution of 1%, i.e. 1 dl Kelpak in 10L water. For foliar treatment, use 1-2% solution, i.e. 1-2 dl Kelpak in 10L of spray and spray on the green foliage.

Why should I choose this?
- It is worth checking the concentration of algae in the product. If it is close to 20%, we are talking about a product with a high active ingredient. Be careful not to be misled by the term algae concentrate, as it is not the same as algae content.
- It also matters which type of algae is contained in the product. If it is made from Ascophyllum nodosum (Asco Alga), it is more likely to support intensive growth and development. Ecklonia maxima (Kelpak), on the other hand, supports rooting and flowering.
- It is better to buy a pure algae product free of additional additives, as it is more likely to be organic and not to reduce the active ingredient content of the product with cheaper nutrients.
Our Asco Alga product (TSL 29) with EU Declaration of Conformity (EU Declaration of Conformity). The packaging of the product may change, but the quality of the product inside is unchanged.
Storage of
Between 5 and 30 degrees Celsius, it will keep for at least 36 months in its original packaging. It should be applied as soon as possible after opening, but stored tightly resealed and refrigerated for up to 6 months without deterioration.
👩🌾 What does it contain?
A DanubaGarden the offer of the Kelpak algae preparation contains auxin substances. A Kelpak Ecklonia maxima contains algae grown in the ocean off the coast of South Africa.
A Kelpak contains nearly 100 types of biologically active substances that together produce auxin-like effects: carbohydrates, minerals, amino acids, alginates, polyamines, lipids, florotannins, brassinosteroids.
A Kelpak algae has many other positive effects besides supporting seed germination and root mass development:
- enhances the germination of pollen and the sprouting of pollen grains in the flower
- provides preventive protection against various biotic and abiotic stress sources e.g. frost damage
🌟 Special active ingredients, biostimulants
The active ingredients in Kelpak are auxin active. From auxin which is the plant hormone needed for the development of a large root mass and perfect flowering. In other words, if one wants to enhance rooting or flowering biologically, we believe the best solution is to use Kelpak.
- But what is auxin?
Auxin was the first plant hormone to be discovered. It was described in 1920 by the Dutch biologist Dr. Frits Warmolt Went. The name comes from the Greek word for growth. Plants can control their bodies without a nervous system, using their hormone system. The ratio of different plant hormones to each other is very important in different parts of the plant. This influences their effects, for example, on the growth of the root or the shoot.
- How does it work?
When the auxin-acting molecule reaches the cell, it reacts with a protein molecule and subsequently activates previously inactive genes on the chromosome.
🪸 Why are seaweeds useful?
- Quality algae products can help the plant in the event of: drought, heat stress, cutting injury, nutrient deficiencies, fertilisation, colouring, improving texture and shelf life
- Seaweeds are forced to grow up in extremely difficult conditions, with tidal currents that keep them in the water and on the beach, cold warm currents that alternate between them, and the constant destruction of marine animals
- Under these conditions, if the environment is suitable, they should grow very quickly
- Algae can grow up to 100 times faster than our field plants, up to 1 metre in a day
- Algae contain nearly 100 types of beneficial bioactive compounds that help to jump-start the plant

Seaweeds have to grow up under extremely difficult conditions, with the tides keeping them in the water and on the beach, cold warm currents alternating around them, and constantly being destroyed by marine animals. Under these conditions, if the environment is suitable, they must grow very quickly. Algae can grow up to 100 times faster than our field plants, up to 1 metre in a day. Algae contain nearly 100 different types of beneficial bioactive compounds that help the plant to take off.
Kelpak supports rooting and flowering the most. If you want to prioritise flowering, it is recommended to apply one or two applications in the period before flowering.
❄️ Before the freeze with algae! ❄️
Increase the concentration of sap in your plant by adding a concentrate from another "plant". The best treatments for this are algae treatments. Just as people use algae to rejuvenate, strengthen their skin and supplement their nutrition (spirulina), we can use algae products on our plants.
✨ What makes Kelpak special?
1. Made from South African algae Ecklonia maxima, which grows only off the cold South African coast
2. this algae species has a higher proportion of auxin-type plant hormones, which support rooting and flowering. Thus, its use is most recommended during the sowing, planting and pre-flowering periods.
💪 Why are algae useful?
1. because algae live in very harsh conditions (torn apart by sea waves, dried out by tides, eaten by marine animals...), there is only a very short period of time when they are in ideal conditions and they need to grow quickly. So they store everything concentrated in themselves, so that if they can grow, they can grow up to a metre in a day.
2. this concentrated algae "juice" is extracted from the seaweed using freezing and high-pressure, chemical-free technology and packaged for us
3. the factory has its own algae farm, where there is no industrial activity in the area that could pollute the water. Sea divers only harvest mature algae of the same age.
