Asco Alga

Attention! The 1 L bottle may deform! This does not affect the quality of the product!

Dose: 2 dl/10 litres of spray juice

What is Asco Alga good for?

Asco Alga is an algae concentrate. The manufacturer markets the product as an algae cream, as it is so thick. Nevertheless, it dissolves very well in water. The main ingredient in Asco Alga is Ascohyllum nodosum Compared with other algae, it contains a higher proportion of plant hormones that promote growth (e.g. auxin); its use is therefore recommended primarily during periods of intensive plant growth. These algae are harvested by hand in the Brittany region of France. Great care is taken to ensure that only mature algae are processed.

How does it work?

Algea was used in ancient times (Egyptians and Romans) on the beaches to fertilise plants. When Asco Algae is sprayed on the leaves of your plants, it is absorbed into them in a few hours and nourishes them for several weeks.

How to apply?

The product should be dissolved at a concentration of 1-2%, i.e. 1-2dl Asco Alga per 10L of spray. The treatment should be repeated every 2-3 weeks.

Why should I choose this product?

  1. It is worth checking the concentration of algae in the product. If it is close to 20%, we are talking about a product with a high active ingredient. Be careful not to be misled by the term algae concentrate, as it is not the same as algae content. In the case of Asco Alga the active ingredient content of the product is so high that it has a creamy consistency, but is still 100% water soluble.
  2. It also matters which type of seaweed the product contains. If you buy a product made from Ascophyllum nodosum, it tends to support intensive growth and development. The Ecklonia maxima (Kelpak) and rooting and flowering in particular.
  3. It is better to buy a pure algae product free of additional additives, as it is more likely to be organic and not to reduce the active ingredient content of the product with cheaper nutrients.

The Danuba Garden Asco Alga is certified by CerTrust, and EU approved, it also has the Ecocert organic certification, as an organic product. The packaging of the product may vary, but the quality of the product inside is unchanged.

More about our algae products

  1. Quality algae products can help the plant in the event of: drought, heat stress, cutting injury, nutrient deficiencies, fertilisation, colouring, improving texture and shelf life
  2. Seaweeds are forced to grow up in extremely difficult conditions, with tidal currents that keep them in the water and on the beach, cold warm currents that alternate between them, and the constant destruction of marine animals
  3. Under these conditions, if the environment is suitable, they should grow very quickly
  4. Algae contain nearly 100 types of beneficial bioactive compounds that help to jump-start the plant

Storage of the product

It retains its quality for at least 24 months when stored in its original packaging at temperatures between 5 and 30 °C. Once opened, it should be used as soon as possible; however, if tightly resealed and stored in a cool place, it can be used for up to 6 months without any loss of quality.

Algae biostimulant - what is it made of?

In the product Ascophyllum nodosum It contains seaweed. This seaweed is harvested at Penmarch, on one of France’s cleanest coastlines. Only mature, not over-aged, seaweed is harvested by hand to preserve the integrity of the seaweed bed! The manufacturer cleans and dries the seaweed. It then „bursts” the seaweed cells using cold, high pressure to extract the beneficial active ingredients.

🇫🇷 Origin

The Asco Algae is harvested off the north-west coast of France, where the sea is extremely clean because there is no industrial activity in the area. It is important that the seawater where the algae grow is clean, because the algae concentrate the substances that can be absorbed from the sea.

Asco Alga is manufactured without any chemicals. It is pressed under high pressure after cleaning and gentle drying, which extracts the many beneficial components. This pressing process also opens up the cells, allowing the beneficial molecules they contain to be incorporated into the finished product.

✨ More information on how to use the product:

🌡️ Retrieved from Avoid application at high temperatures (above 25 °C) and when UV radiation levels are high, as this increases the risk of sunburn! The ideal time is therefore between late afternoon and early morning.

Dose: Dissolve 2 dl of Asco Alga in 10 litres of water; it is recommended to apply it at a concentration of 2%. Higher doses are not recommended, as this may cause scorching. The product is very thick – practically an algae cream – but dissolves very well. Using Asco Alga results in greater growth and a higher yield. This, in turn, can be used to increase fruit size. We recommend using the product every 2–4 weeks once the small fruits have appeared.

The Asco Alga after resolution 6 for one month more available for use at, if - immediately after pouring, it is well resealed and stored in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight (refrigeration after opening is important).

✨ More information about the product:

Danuba also offers two seaweed biostimulants for farmers. As the plant grows, the proportion of plant hormones needed for growth changes. During rooting and initial growth, auxin is required, so the Kelpak-Quality algae products can help the plant in the event of: drought, heat stress, cutting injury, nutrient deficiencies, fertilisation, colouring, improving the content and storage life.

Seaweeds have to grow under extremely difficult conditions, with the tides keeping them in the water and on the beach, cold, warm currents alternating around them, and constantly being destroyed by marine animals. Under these conditions, they must grow very quickly if the environment is suitable. Algae can grow up to 100 times faster than our field plants, up to 1 metre daily. Algae contain nearly 100 different types of beneficial bioactive compounds that help the plant to take off.

🤞 Use of complementary products:

  1. Step one: Tricho Immun get out
Apply Tricho Immun first. It needs a few hours to penetrate the plant and a few weeks to fully spread and start protecting and strengthening it internally.
  2. Step 1 add: Add Asco Alga
In addition to Tricho Immun, you can also apply Asco Alga, which complements the effects of Tricho Immune.
  3. Step two: SoftGuard a week later
After a week, you can spray on the SoftGuard product. It is important to do this only after using Tricho Immune and Asco Alga to avoid adverse interactions.
  4. Repeat treatments: SoftGuard + Asco Alga combination every 2-3 weeks
You can repeat the treatment cycles every 2-3 weeks

❄️ Use of algae before the winter freeze!

  • Add a concentrate from another "plant" to increase the sap concentration in your plant. The best treatments for this are algae treatments. Just as people use algae to rejuvenate, strengthen their skin, and supplement their nutrition (spirulina), we can use algae products on our plants.

🪸 Quality algae products work in the following ways:

  • The nutrients they contain - mainly meso- and micronutrients - can be absorbed immediately by the plant, thus reducing nutrient deficiencies.
  • Betaine in algae products reduces abiotic stress effects such as frost damage
  • The lipids and polysaccharides in premium algae products provide energy for the plant
  • Danuba has registered two quality algae products in Hungary. A Kelpak rooting and flowering, while the Asco Alga can enhance intensive growth!

🔮 Biostimulant used for 5,000 years? Which one is it?

Even the ancient Egyptians used algae to improve the fertility of their desert soil. So, they are known as the oldest farmers who have used biostimulants! The Egyptians didn't know the exact effects of algae. They knew plants would grow more if they treated their soil and crops with it. Why should you know more?

Research on marine algae accelerated in the 1950s, and the following positive effects:

  • contains a high proportion of plant growth hormones
  • algae products are high in amino acids and proteins, so they are a useful food for plants. They also don't need much energy to produce it.
  • high in micro-nutrients and vitamins, which help plants grow
  • biostimulant compounds in premium algae products such as manitol, abscisic acid and betaine enhance abiotic stress resistance and nutrient uptake

🤔 Did you know that Do algae convert more CO₂ into oxygen than trees? Just think about it: the oceans cover nearly 70% of the Earth’s surface.

🍇 For grape treatment: a combined "weapon"

As soon as possible after pruning and/or when the grapes are in leaf, start treating the grapes to prevent fungal diseases with the following recipe: 50 g Tricho Immun + 2 dl Asco Alga per 10-15 litre backpack sprayer. Tricho Imun needs a wound surface or green canopy to penetrate tissue, and the organic matter content of Asco Alga helps it stay on the canopy and penetrate through stomata. Tricho Immun is available in 100g packs, so we recommend repeating the treatment once more before flowering.

Video about Danuba Garden's chemical-free and organic products!

From the writer of the Gardener's Garden in Pilisszentkereszten blog Miklós Szomoru: "I have a good half-hour video for you. But it's worth watching! It's about soil life, algae, mycorrhizal fungi, and eco-plant protection. We use these materials instead of chemicals and fertilisers. With organic products, we can only further improve and accelerate the balance."
