In this article Asco Alga we spoke to the French manufacturer of our product. Our questions were answered by André Yvin, one of the company's founders.
If we think back to our childhood, we can remember many adventures that we can tell our grandchildren about, because they will still be memorable. I could almost see it in my mind's eye when André told me how he used to pick seaweed as a child on the beaches of the Brittany region of France, as he had seen his grandfather do it, following generations of experience in using the parts of plants he had collected on the beaches to feed his fields.

Since then, thanks to a lot of research and the rapid spread of information, more and more is known about the beneficial effects of algae on both the human body and plants.
Naturally renewable resources

The excellent effects of Asco Alga have been demonstrated by the Ascophyllum nodosum algae provides.

Our Asco Alga is an extremely high concentration of algae cream which, when poured out, flows slowly but is 100% soluble in water. As the Asco Alga 100% contains algae and no other added substances, so it is certified organic. This certification also allows its use in organic farming.
Scientific publications

André presented two experiments in his presentation. In one of them, the effect of algae on genes that influence nutrient uptake was investigated in maize and spinach cultures.

The green bars indicate the nutrient uptake of the algae-treated stands and the grey bars the control.
In this experiment, chicory and maize stands were used to investigate the Asco Alga the effect on the size of the root mass.

The grey bar also represents the control and the green bar represents the Asco Algáindicates treated with.
