Asco Alga
Dose: 2 dl/10 litres of spray juice
What is Asco Alga good for?
- Quality algae products can help the plant in the event of: drought, heat stress, cutting injury, nutrient deficiencies, fertilisation, colouring, improving texture and shelf life
- Seaweeds are forced to grow up in extremely difficult conditions, with tidal currents that keep them in the water and on the beach, cold warm currents that alternate between them, and the constant destruction of marine animals
- Under these conditions, if the environment is suitable, they should grow very quickly
- Algae contain nearly 100 types of beneficial bioactive compounds that help to jump-start the plant
How does it work?
Seaweed was used in ancient times (Egyptians and Romans) on the beaches to fertilise plants. When Asco Algae is sprayed on the leaves of your plants, it is absorbed into them in a few hours and nourishes them for several weeks.
How to apply?
The product should be dissolved at a concentration of 1-2%, i.e. 1-2dl Asco Alga per 10L of spray. The treatment should be repeated every 2-3 weeks.

Why should I choose this?
- It is worth checking the concentration of algae in the product. If it is close to 20%, we are talking about a product with a high active ingredient. Be careful not to be misled by the term algae concentrate, as it is not the same as algae content. From Asco Alga the active ingredient content of the product is so high that it has a creamy consistency, but is still 100% water soluble.
- It also matters which type of algae is contained in the product. If you buy a product made from Ascophyllum nodosum algae, it is more likely to promote intensive growth and development. Ecklonia maxima (Kelpak) and rooting and flowering in particular.
- It is better to buy a pure algae product free of additional additives, as it is more likely to be organic and not to reduce the active ingredient content of the product with cheaper nutrients.
The Danuba Garden Asco Alga product of the Certified by CerTrust as EU approved, and the Also on the Ecocert organic certification company list, as an organic product. The packaging of the product may vary, but the quality of the product inside is unchanged.
Storage of
Between 5 and 30 degrees Celsius, it will keep for at least 36 months in its original packaging. It should be applied as soon as possible after opening, but stored tightly resealed and refrigerated for up to 6 months without deterioration.
Algae biostimulant - what is it made of?
The product contains Ascophyllum nodo- sum seaweed. This algae is harvested on the cleanest French coast, in Penmarch. Only mature and not senescent algae is harvested by hand to preserve the integrity of the algae field! The algae is cleaned and filtered by the producer. The algae cells are then 'blown up' under high pressure in cold water to extract the useful active ingredients.
The pictures show Asco Algae, the parent material of the Asco Algae, Ascophyllum nodosum, at low tide, when the sea retreats and leaves the algae dry.
🇫🇷 Origin
The Asco Algae is harvested off the north-west coast of France, where the sea is extremely clean because there is no industrial activity in the area. It is important that the seawater where the algae grow is clean, because the algae concentrate the substances that can be absorbed from the sea.
Asco Alga is manufactured without any chemicals, as it is pressed under high pressure after cleaning and gentle drying. This extracts the many beneficial components. This pressing process is also able to open up the cells, so that the beneficial molecules they contain are also incorporated into the finished product.
✨ More information on how to use the product:
🌡️ Retrieved from avoid application at high temperatures (above 25 degrees Celsius) and high UV radiation levels, as this increases the risk of scorching! Therefore, late afternoon to early morning is ideal.
Dose: 2 dl of Asco Algae should be dissolved in 10 litres of water, at a recommended concentration of 2%. A higher dose is not recommended as it may cause scorching. Asco Alga will keep for 3 years in a cool dry place. The product is very thick, practically a cream of algae, but it dissolves very well. The use of Asco Alga will result in more growth and a bigger yield. This in turn can be used to increase fruit size. We recommend that when small fruits have already appeared, you use the product every 2-4 weeks.
✨ More information about the product:
Danuba also offers two seaweed biostimulants for farmers. As the plant grows, the proportion of plant hormones needed for growth changes. During rooting and initial growth, auxin is needed, so Kelpak should be chosen.Quality algae products can help the plant in cases of: drought, heat stress, cutting injury, nutrient deficiencies, fertilization, coloration, improving texture and shelf life. Marine algae have to grow in extremely difficult conditions, being in and out of the water, surrounded by cold warm currents, constantly being destroyed by marine animals. Under these conditions, if the environment is suitable, they must grow very quickly. Algae can grow up to 100 times faster than our field plants, up to 1 metre in a day. Algae contain nearly 100 different types of beneficial bioactive compounds that help the plant to take off.
🤞 Use of complementary products:
- Step 1: Application of Tricho Immune
Apply Tricho Immune first. This needs a few hours to penetrate the plant and a few weeks to fully spread and start protecting and strengthening the plant internally. - Step 1 add: Add Asco Alga
In addition to Tricho Immune, you can also apply Asco Algae, which complements the effects of Tricho Immune. - Step 2: Apply SoftGuard and DanuVital Bio one week later
After a week you can spray SoftGuard together with DanuVital Bio. It is important that this is only done after Tricho Immune and Asco Alga to avoid adverse interactions. - Repeat treatments: SoftGuard combinations every 2-3 weeks
You can repeat the treatment cycles every 2-3 weeks, alternating between SoftGuard + Asco Alga and SoftGuard + DanuVital Bio.
❄️ Freeze before the algae!
- Increase the concentration of sap in your plant by adding a concentrate from another "plant". The best treatments for this are algae treatments. Just as people use algae to rejuvenate, strengthen their skin and supplement their nutrition (spirulina), we can use algae products on our plants.
🪸 Quality algae products work in the following ways:
- The nutrients they contain - mainly meso- and micronutrients - can be absorbed immediately by the plant, thus reducing nutrient deficiencies.
- Betaine in algae products reduces abiotic stress effects such as frost damage
- The lipids and polysaccharides in premium algae products provide energy for the plant
- Danuba has registered two quality algae products in Hungary. A Kelpak rooting and flowering, while the Asco Algacan enhance intensive growth!
🔮 Biostimulant used for 5,000 years? Which one is it?
Even the ancient Egyptians used algae to improve the fertility of their desert soil. So they are known as the oldest farmers to have used biostimulants! The Egyptians didn't know the exact effects of algae, they just knew that if they treated their soil and crops with it, they would grow more. Why should you know more?
Research on marine algae accelerated in the 1950s, and the following positive effects:
- contains a high proportion of plant growth hormones
- algae products are high in amino acids and proteins, so they are a useful food for plants. They also don't need much energy to produce it.
- high in micro-nutrients and vitamins, which help plants grow
- biostimulant compounds in premium algae products such as manitol, abscisic acid and betaine enhance abiotic stress resistance and nutrient uptake
🤔 Did you know that do algae convert more CO2 to oxygen than trees? Just think, the oceans provide nearly 701T3T of the earth's CO2.
🍇 For grape treatment: combined "weapon"
As soon as possible after pruning and/or when the grapes are in leaf, start treating the grapes to prevent fungal diseases with the following recipe: 50 g Tricho Immune + 2 dl Asco Alga per 10-15 litre backpack sprayer. Tricho Imun needs a wound surface or green canopy to penetrate tissue, and the organic matter content of Asco Alga helps it stay on the canopy and penetrate through stomata. As Tricho Immun is available in 100g packs, we recommend repeating the treatment once more before flowering.
Video about Danuba Garden's chemical-free and organic products!
From the writer of the Gardener's Garden in Pilisszentkereszten blog by Miklós Szomoru: "I have a good half-hour video for you. But it's worth watching or listening to. Soil life, algae, michorrhiza fungi, and eco-plant protection. We use these materials instead of sprays and fertilizers. But of course compost itself is the best thing that can happen in a garden. With them we can only further improve and accelerate the balance."
